This is the first (of two) apartments that Jason and I lived in during our time in Savannah. It was also the first apartment we ever lived in together, cosigned lease and all.
The interior of the apartment, and the landlord, were absolute tops. The exterior, and the neighborhood, were shit. Hence the move to a smaller, more expensive, but better-located apartment for our second Savannah year.
Moving was completely worth it; being in a safer neighborhood changed my quality of life so dramatically it feels shameful.
But in defense of 201 W 42nd: it is the only apartment I’ve lived in to date that had its own washer and dryer inside the apartment. Luxury!
