Last weekend I sketched a pretty girl in my notebook. Then I scanned it and colored and it, and then somehow…it became a book cover. Funny how that happens.
Using one of my favorite lines from Shirley Jackson’s The Haunting of Hill House, I turned it into a cover redesign for that book. Anyone who has read Hill House will know that the mood of my cover has nothing in common with the book. Basically, I just wanted to build a cover around my sketch and the quote. Whether it fits the book or not, I am pleased with the design.
