Three years ago, while in the middle of a busy MFA program, I decided I needed to do some small project that was not for school. I stumbled across a comics collective called Studio YOLO. Each month on their site, they posted a short script and invited strangers to draw comics from it. Below is the comic I drew from that month’s script, The Future Needs You, written by cartoonist James Greene.
My comfort with color palettes and digital tablets has increased exponentially since then, but there are still parts of this comic that please me.
