I’m working on a bigger illustration project right now. Hopefully it will be ready to share soon, but in the meantime here’s a detail from it. I wanted something in the background for a wallpaper effect, so I made a marjoram pattern.
It could have been any flower but because the word “marjoram” is awfully similar to “Marjorie” I wanted to find out what that plant looks like. As it turns out, I think marjoram used to grow like crazy in the patch of trees my little sister and I called “the jungle,” behind the house we grew up in.
I’m still not even close to done with my pattern obsession.
